Eri Yamasaki honored with Suzuki Award

Dr. Eri Yamasaki received the Suzuki Award for young scientists of the Ecological Society of Japan for her study of tropical ecology. 

Dr. Eri Yamasaki of Ken Shimizu’s group received the Suzuki Award for young scientists of the Ecological Society of Japan for her study of tropical ecology. She has studied the interaction among plants, pollinators and bodyguard ants on Macaranga since her master and is now working on the plant genus Macaranga, which has protective mutualistic relationships with ants, in Borneo. Yamasaki will give her Award lecture in March 2017 in Tokyo.

The Faculty of Science congratulates Eri Yamasaki for her award and wishes her success for her further research.
