International Physics Olympiad 2016: Call for Volunteers

From July 10 to 18, 2016 Switzerland and Liechtenstein will host the 47th International Physics Olympiad at the University of Zurich. We are happy to welcome 900 participants from 90 different countries all over the world. The International Physics Olympiad is a competition for secondary school students whose interest in physics extends beyond the classroom. National elimination rounds are held to determine the five most promising new talents, who then go on to participate in the International Olympiad. Besides doing exams the participants will also visit some beautiful sites of our countries and experience our culture.

How can you get involved?

The organization teami is looking for people like you or your friends being interested in becoming a volunteer!

• As a Team Guide you will be responsible for a delegation from a participating country and making their stay extraordinary.

• As an Academic Assistant or a Marker you are supporting the team which is responsible for all exams.

• Being part in the Media Team or the Overall Event Organisation you will be involved in the general organisation of such a major event.

What are your benefits:

• We will cover your accommodation, meals and transportation expenses

• As a Team Guide you accompany your team to all events and excursions like Swiss Alps, famous research centre, chocolate factory etc.

• You will get an invitation for the Closing Party.
