An invitation to speak at the International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM ) is a sign of the receiving person's high international standing and is tantamount to an induction into the mathematics hall of fame: an ICM invitation is often treated like receiving an important research award. The ICM is the most important meeting in pure and applied mathematics and one of the oldest scientific congresses. The first ICM was held in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1897. Prof. Dr. Corinna Ulcigrai has been invited to give a talk at the ICM 2022 in St. Petersburg.
Further, Prof. Dr. Corinna Ulcigrai has been appointed as a member of the Editorial Board of the journal "Inventiones Mathematicae" as of September 1.
The Faculty of Science congratulates Corinna Ulcigrai.
