Applying to Study for a PhD
Important note: If you originate from a foreign country, which is not a member of the European Union it is of utmost importance, that the following procedure is followed exactly as specified below.
- Application to a doctoral programme at the Faculty of Science
- Application to the Admissions Office of the University of Zurich
- Visa application for foreign students outside the EU
- You cannot start work on your doctoral thesis in Zurich until you have obtained a visa and a work permit.
Master's students of the MNF
Students who change from an MNF master's program to a doctoral program do not have to go through the procedure described above.
They only have to change the study lever at the next possible semester enrollment.
