Application and Admission

In order to enroll in a Bachelor's degree program at the Faculty of Science (MNF) at UZH, you need a federally or cantonally recognised university entrance qualification or a diploma recognized as equivalent. For people with a Swiss educational background, this is a federally or cantonally recognized Matura certificate or a degree from a Swiss university of applied sciences. The list of recognized Swiss entrance qualifications can be found atwww.crus.ch. In addition, UZH recognizes a number of foreign school-leaving qualifications. Please contact the Student Administration Office as early as possible to find out whether the UZH recognizes your qualification.

In order to study at the Faculty of Science, you must submit your online application for enrollment within the regular deadlines. You can find the deadlines for all study programs and degrees here.

Important note: If you have already completed credits at another university, you can submit your transcript of records to the e-mail addressgesuche@mnf.uzh.ch within the first semester of study for examination/recognition.

Bachelor’s Diploma from a Swiss University of Applied Sciences or Teacher Education

For admission to a consecutive or specialized Master’s degree program you must have earned your Bachelor’s degree with an overall grade of at least 5 (unrounded) in accordance with the Swiss grading system.
